Anna Maria College is a four-year, private, co-ed, Catholic, liberal arts institution accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne in 1946, the College is located on a beautiful 180-acre campus in Paxton, MA minutes from Worcester, MA. AMC provides quality programs that integrate liberal education and professional preparation that is committed to the fundamental value of liberal arts and sciences education rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

Anna Maria College sees its mission to be that of fostering in its students intellectual involvement, career preparation, social awareness, dedication to justice and peace, religious and moral sensitivity, and a lifestyle capable of sustaining these within balance. In addition, the College is committed to nurturing the development of a sense of respect for oneself and for others, as well as a sense of responsibility to society and the world.

AMC is a close-knit community with small class sizes that allow for mentor relationships to develop between faculty members and students. Freshman and sophomore classes generally have between 15 and 20 students; some upper-level classes have as few as five students. Faculty members teach and advise students based on their knowledge of each person as an individual, and classes are never taught by graduate assistants.

AMC offers over 35 undergraduate degree programs and over 22 graduate and continuing education programs. Popular majors include business, criminal justice, education, fire science, social work, and psychology. AMC also offers special majors such as art therapy, sports management, an RN-to-BSN program and an associate in nursing degree program. Fifth-year master’s options are available in business administration, counseling psychology, criminal justice, education, emergency management, fire science, pastoral studies/counseling, and visual art. Popular graduate programs include an accelerated MBA,Criminal Justice and Fire Science. A new honors program is being introduced in the fall of 2008, as well as a Master in Public Administration and a certificate in Victimology. Other academic programs being explored include applied history, video game design and dance and dance therapy.

Just minutes from downtown Worcester, New England’s third-largest city and home to 10 institutions of higher education, AMC students are able to take advantage of many cultural and entertainment opportunities at the DCU Center and Palladium, both of which host popular bands and musical attractions, a world-class art museum, and a beautifully refurbished 19th Century concert hall, to name few. AMC is also driving distance from Boston, MA, Providence, RI, Hartford, CT, Vermont, New Hampshire and Cape Cod, presenting opportunities for skiing, boating, swimming, and an exciting night life.

Anna Maria College (AMC) is a four-year Catholic liberal arts college, founded in 1946 and located in the rural town of Paxton, Massachusetts. The school's campus is situated a few miles away from the city of Worcester. Anna Maria is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Anna Maria College was founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne, an order headquartered in Lachine, Quebec. The College offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with its largest enrollments in criminal justice, business, education, and the ASN (Associate in Nursing) degree program. Anna Maria is particularly well-known for its programs in criminal justice, which received Massachusetts Quinn Bill approval. Anna Maria is a member of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium.

Anna Maria has fifteen Division III athletic teams in the NCAA and is a member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
