Description
Centra School of Practical Nursing, in partnership with Lynchburg General Hospital, offers a Practical Nursing program for those who wish to work in hospital or extended care facilities.
Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, Centra’s program takes as little as one year to complete. The beginning of the program consists of classroom study while the last two terms involve clinical experience in psychiatry, family and surgical nursing.
Centra’s program prepares students to work with people of all ages and in different types of facilities. However, Centra’s LPN program pays particularly close attention to treating aging populations in hospitals and nursing home facilities
Such scholarships as the Virginia Nursing Scholarship are available for eligible students needing financial assistance. Those who need financial aid may also apply for other scholarships as well as grants, and federal and private loans to see if they qualify.
