Farmingdale State College is a coeducational, public college with over 6,200 students pursuing degrees in one of 31 programs in the areas of business, applied arts and sciences, health sciences and engineering technologies. Students enjoy small, personalized classes with dedicated faculty and staff members including 86 Chancellor’s Award winners; twelve of whom are Distinguished Teaching/Service Professors. Strategic partnerships with many Long Island companies result in active recruitment of our students for internships and full-time careers. Farmingdale offers a comprehensive athletic program, consisting of 16 men’s and women’s teams, and is an active member of the NCAA Division III.

The State University of New York at Farmingdale, also called Farmingdale State College, is the former Agricultural and Technical Institute at Farmingdale. This college is located on Long Island in East Farmingdale, New York, with a small section in Old Bethpage. The college dates from 1912 as a school of applied agriculture. Now Farmingdale offers mostly bachelor degrees and some associate degrees in many fields.
