Rob Roy Academy, New Bedford

Our mission is to provide our students with a quality education, which ensures technical confidence, self-assurance and the interpersonal skills necessary to obtain licensure, as well as a rewarding career in the beauty and barber industry.

Rob Roy Academy was founded in 1979 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Since then we have added additional locations in Fall River, Taunton, New Bedford, and Woonsocket RI.

With a scenic view of a small town park across the street, our New Bedford campus resembles a large hair salon more than a school, but in this case looks can be deceiving. The training these students receive with our educated staff far exceeds what one would learn in a salon. This location offers training in Cosmetology and Manicuring with a basic skills theory and practical training area, a public clinic, and student lounge.
