Description

If you want the education and experience to become a radiologist, then the Research Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in Kansas City, Missouri, is a great place to start.

The school offers a 23-month certificate program where you’ll work full time, learning skills like patient positioning, patient care, physics, and radiation biology. The program is designed to provide students with the instruction and experience to work with a variety of patients, including pediatrics, trauma, surgery, acute care, orthopedics, and acute care.

Due to the program’s insistence on small class sizes, you’ll receive hands-on clinical education and individual attention.

The curriculum is competency based. Students who complete the program are eligible to sit for the national board examination in order to become a registered nurse.

Admissions require students to have completed coursework in the following fields:
*Algebra
*Medical Terminology
*English Composition
*Speech
*Biological Science

Preference is given to students who have taken post-secondary courses in information systems, arts and humanities, social/behavioral sciences, natural sciences, and mathematical/logical reasoning.

On-campus housing is available. It is not required, but is often cheaper than living off campus.

Financial aid is offered to eligible students through Pell grants, Direct Loans, and other methods of federal aid. In addition to tuition, students must also pay for uniforms and books.
