California Baptist University is a private, Christian, liberal arts university located in Riverside, California, USA. Originally founded in 1950 as California Baptist College, Cal Baptist, as the university is affectionately known, is controlled by the California Southern Baptist Convention-- an organization affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. As such, the college has weekly chapels for students and faith is an integral part of the classroom experience.
