Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is a comprehensive open access community and technical college that prepares people to live and work in a constantly changing world.
ECTC accomplishes its mission by providing: Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs and courses to provide students with the opportunity to complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program; Associate in Applied Science degree, diploma, and certificate programs, as well as courses to prepare individuals to excel in a complex workforce; continuing education, short-term customized training for business, industry, and government agencies designed to strengthen the work force and to expand the life skills, knowledge, and cultural enrichment of the community; developmental education courses to prepare individuals for success in transfer and technical courses; and associated services including library services, cultural and enrichment opportunities, assessment, information technology resources, and other services that support student development and success.

From Wikipedia, The Free EncyclopediaBowling Green Technical College (BGTC), located in Bowling Green, KY, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The college is presently a candidate for accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree.
History
BGTC was established as Western Trade School in 1939 and was operated by Western Kentucky State Teachers College (later Western Kentucky University.) In 1962, the school became independent of WKU, and underwent two name changes before joining KCTCS in 1997 and becoming Bowling Green Technical College.
