Essex County College has an open admissions policy, which means that anyone with a high school diploma or GED may enroll in a degree program. Applicants need only submit an online admissions application and transcripts. A placement exam is also required in certain cases.

Essex awards numerous types of financial aid, including state and federal grants, work-study opportunities and loans. Full and partial tuition scholarships are also available. To apply for aid, applicants will need to submit a FAFSA.

I am a senior and have forgotten or simply unaware of the newer procedures for registration, grants etc.etc. The councelors and staff were very informative and patient and made my transistion as less complicated as possible and I appreciated that.
