University of the Pacific is certainly a good school. They are pretty strong in computer science and they dont have visual communication as a major, but they do have just communication. Have you toured around UOP yet? If not they will have an open house soon(around oct. or nov). UC Berkeley have a national reputation, but UOP does not. I have heard of some stories of computer science majors at UOP before. They did some co-ops during their course of study and they had a job offer for him before he graduated. UOP is very good at helping their students look for jobs, but Berkeley is so big that it is not really possible to do that for their students. UOP focuses more on the students as it is a private college. Tuition is higher but if you qualify for FAFSA it will be quite cheap. You can also try to apply for the CIP program if you are 1st generation college student. There are many benefits of attending this institution. Transfering from delta to either schools are pretty easy, but I think you still have to work on your personal statment. Right now maybe you dont have to worry about it yet. You still have time. If you do end up with a hard time choosing, then you can always go to the transfer/career office and seek for advice there. Hope this may help you! Good luck!
I have been accepted to U of Illinois, Bradley University,Northern Illinois University,St.Louis University,Howard University, Purdue University, and Ripon College and i want to become a dentist and was wondering which school has the best pre-dental program

University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA is a very good school for pre-dentistry and they also have 1 of the top dental schools in the nation. Marquette University is also a good school that has pre-dentistry. NYU is another good school. Marquette and NYU also have good dental schools. Columbia University, Harvard, UCSF, UConn, University of Illinois at Chicago, Marquette, NYU, University of Minnesota and Unviersity of Washington have the best dental schools in the nation. You should go to 1 of those for graduate school.
Ive been looking into University of the Pacific, and grown attatched to the idea of attending there. I am a Senior in High School, with a GPA of 3.7 Ive only taken my Sat's once and got a score of 1730 (550 on critical reading, 620 on Math, and 560 on Writing. I am going to apply for thier business school, and i partcipate in a few business involved extra curricular activities, including, virtual-enterprise, volunteering/(internship) for my brother-n-laws sprint business. Im also in the debate and forensics club, vice president of my church youth group which has 35 members, and im looking into volunteering for our local rotary club. I am also Hispanic, So with all of that said, do I have a chance? any reply if greatly appreciated, and if you attended U.O.P, or are attending, fell free to tell me about the expierience. Thanks i plan on taking my act, and SATII's and my SAT's again.

It's actually much easier to get into than the Atlantic Institute, The Mediterranean University or The Red Sea College.
