Acadiana is a cultural area located in South Louisiana. Cajun and Creole food, music and joie de vivre help to add flavor to everyday life in Lafayette. The city of Lafayette is nestled between New Orleans and Houston and only 35 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico.
Remington College-Lafayette Campus has been an educational entity in South Louisiana for over 65 years. The campus was founded in 1940 as Spencer Business College. Remington University, Inc. purchased the college in January 1994. Education America-Remington College, Inc. purchased the college in July 1998. In May 2003 the campus name was changed to Remington College-Lafayette Campus.
The mission of Remington College-Lafayette Campus is to provide career training and help students in their attempt to obtain relevant entry-level employment. The campus offers programs that are career focused in fields that are believed to offer growing employment opportunities.
