To ease the transition for international students, many of the faculty and staff members are multi-lingual, speaking Polish, Spanish or English.
Academics at the fully accredited college offers associate’s degrees in Court Reporting, Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Medical Office Technology, and Liberal Arts.
In addition to these degrees, all programs at MacCormac College require students to develop competency in communication skills, critical thinking and creative skills, and interpersonal skills. Students can choose to be enrolled full-time or part-time.
The college offers special student services such as a peer mentor program and writing center. It also provides resume-building workshops, mock interviews, and information sessions on where find employment. Also available are community partnerships like food and clothing drives, the Cook County Sheriff’s Boot Camp and local business partnerships.
Financial aid is available for eligible students. Types of assistance include grants, loans, direct Stafford loans, direct PLUS loans, federal Perkins loans, work-study, and a number of scholarships unique to MacCormac College, such as the Founders scholarship and the MacCormac honor scholarship.
