Description

Canton City School District offers K-12 public schools, as well as adult learning, career and technical education centers. The Practical Nursing program with the Canton City School District was established to give residents of Canton, Ohio a chance to learn the trade and fulfill the regions increasing need for experienced and professional nurses.

The Practical Nursing Program offers two tracks of study. For students who wish to maintain a full-time job, the evening class program may be more appealing. The evening courses are held Monday through Thursday, require roughly 12-20 hours a week of instruction, and can be completed in 23 months.

The day class track can be completed in 11 months, with courses held Monday through Friday, requiring between 30-32 hours per week.

Students of the Practical Nursing Program are encouraged to take advantage of student support services for Canton City School District’s adult learning programs, such as counseling, career advising, and a tutor program.

Students are exposed to hands-on training and receive a well-rounded education in nursing. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to enter the professional job market.
