Description

Part of the second largest public college in the state, Ivy Tech Community College in South Bend, Indiana provides education and career training for residents of St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall and other counties.

At the South Bend campus of Ivy Tech, students may obtain degrees in such areas as business, computer science and liberal arts as well as those related to medical and health fields.

Students have the option of using their two-year Ivy Tech degree to help find employment in a promising career. They may also use their Ivy degree to transfer to a four year school.

For those who are not interested in a degree program, short-term professional courses and enrichment classes are available as well.

Student life at Ivy helps students to cultivate leadership and other skills. Some examples of these student life opportunities include a student government association, a student leadership organization and membership in an honors society. Extracurricular activities are also available.

Admission requirements include completion of an application, a placement test and attendance at a student orientation session.

Financial aid is awarded through grants and loans to assist eligible students with tuition.
