Located in Beckley, West Virginia, Mountain State University has additional campuses throughout the state. In addition to a naturally beautiful setting, the Beckley campus provides opportunities to meet a variety of educational goals with a particular focus on Healthcare, Business and Technical careers.
Through its Arts and Sciences department, students may earn a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Liberal Studies, Psychology, Religious Studies and Theatre Performance, among others.
Professional degrees make up the largest number of programs at Beckley. Through associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, the professional programs help prepare students for careers in such fields as Fire Science, Forensic Investigation, Graphic Design, Occupational Therapy Assisting and Radiologic Technology.
Students at Mountain State have the added benefit of internship opportunities. Since Beckley is Southwestern Virginia’s primary source of medical care and other industries, it is an ideal place to gain professional experience in healthcare and other fields.
