Description
Florida Career Institute, now known as FORTIS Institute in Mulberry, is a technical school that offers career-training programs in healthcare and medical fields.The school provides coursework for adults who are looking for a new career, or who want to enhance their skills in a current profession. The institute’s available programs include: Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assisting, Medical Insurance Coding Specialist, and Pharmacy Technician. Some programs can be taken on campus or online.
It also has special continuing education classes for Advanced Airway, BLS Provider/Instructor, PALS Provider/Instructor, TCCC Instructor, and more.
Admissions applications can be submitted online along with some of the applications for financial aid. Financial aid is awarded to those who qualify in the form of federal and state grants and loans, private sources, and flexible student payment plans. After graduation, the school assists its graduates with job placement services such as: dressing for success, interviewing, resume writing, and professional development.
