OCCC Description

Oregon Coast Community College (OCCC) offers highly specialized career training programs, a program for small business owners, and a general studies degree for those who wish to transfer to a four-year university.

Located in Newport, with campuses in Lincoln City and Waldport, OCCC offers training programs for careers that are in great demand along the Oregon Coast. One such program is the associate’s degree in Aquarium Science. Other associate degrees are also offered in medical and trade fields such as Nursing and Retail Management.

Oregon Coast also has a Small Business Management program to help individuals who would like to expand their already-established business. Through personal coaching, day-long seminars and classes, individuals are given what they need to make their business succeed.

For students who wish to transfer to such four-year universities as University of Oregon and Oregon State University, there is an associate’s degree that includes general arts, humanities and science courses required by universities.

Finally, Oregon Coast provides basic skills training in ESL and GED prep. Comprehensive services are provided to help students in their educational journey.
