University of North Carolina Charlotte is ideal for those wanting strong undergraduate or graduate academics as well as numerous academic, extracurricular, cultural and social opportunities.

Located in the pleasing mid-sized city of Charlotte, UNC has seven professional colleges offering more than 150 programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Some of these programs have received a high national ranking. For example, U.S. News and World Report has ranked all the schools of Health, Business and Engineering at UNC Charlotte in the top of their fields.

UNC’s academic strength extends into other departments as well: the College of Arts and Architecture offers degree programs in Art, Art History, Architecture, Theatre, Music and Dance. These departments give students the chance to perform and show their craft in highly attractive venues. The Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts, for example, hosts student concerts and plays. There is also an art gallery which exhibits student work.
