Mount Angel Seminary School Description
Mount Angel Seminary, an apostolate of the Benedictine monks of Mount Angel Abbey, is a school of which the primary urpose is the human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral formation of men for the Roman Catholic priesthood. The Seminary is comprised of a Graduate School of Theology and a College of Liberal Arts. For seminarians requiring additional preparation to enter the Graduate School and College, the Seminary has Pre-Theology and Accelerated College English (ACE) programs. In addition, the Graduate School of Theology offers a theological education to qualified lay men and women. The Seminary's programs adhere to the norms established by the Sacred Congregation for Catholic Education and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as stated in the Program of Priestly Formation.

From Wikipedia, The Free EncyclopediaMount Angel Abbey and Seminary is a community of Benedictine monks near the city of Mt. Angel, Oregon, United States. It was established in 1882 from the Abbey of Engelberg, Switzerland. The abbey, located on the top of Mount Angel, a 485-foot high butte, has its own post office separate from the city of Mt. Angel's—Saint Benedict.
The Seminary serves numerous western dioceses and currently has about 150 students. The make up of the seminary population is 40% white and 60% minorities, primarily Hispanic, Vietnamese, and Philipino.
The library at the abbey was designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
