The mission of Ohio Institute of Health Careers is to accept and train motivated applicants and to provide them with concerned instructors in an encouraging learning environment. In a professional atmosphere in which students learn to function responsibly, students use methods that apply theory through actual and simulated practice in the medical laboratory, dental laboratory, and the computer labs. The ultimate goal of the training is job readiness at an entry-level position in the Medical or Dental profession.
Ohio Institute of Health Careers, with campus locations in Columbus and Elyria, Ohio, provides students with the training needed to begin a career in the healthcare field. Originally established in Columbus in 1966, the Elyria campus opened in 2003. Ohio Institute of Health Careers is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and offers career training in the areas of medical assisting, dental assisting, massage therapy and medical administration.
