Description

Ocean County Vocational-Technical School is located in Toms River, New Jersey, and teaches over 30 different career courses.

Fields of study include childcare professions, fashion and cosmetology, trade skills such as cabinetmaking or plumbing, marine and environmental sciences, health careers, automotive fields, audio and visual design courses, computer careers, and more.

Not only does the school serve those who are looking for careers after graduation, but it also serves as a career academy high school. High school students who attend get the same four-year education that fills all of the graduation requirements, but also get to prepare for the working world with a career major.

There are different ways to attend OCVTS. Shared-time classes are for high school juniors and seniors who take part-time vocational classes while getting a home-schooled education elsewhere. Academy students attend full-time in replacement of a traditional high school. After-High-School and Adult/Evening classes can be taken by any high school graduate or adult person.

Federal financial aid is available to eligible high school graduates or GED recipients, who are US Citizens, with the promise of continued academic strength.
