Description

As part of New York‘s Board of Cooperative Educational Services, Western Suffolk BOCES teams up with local communities and school districts to provide educational support. This support ranges from teaching workshops to vocational training.

Wilson Technological Center is Western Suffolk BOCES’ technical licensing and certification division. Though it serves high school students, WTC’s academics are mainly intended for adult students. (The school prides itself on being the largest adult learning program in Long Island.) It has over 40 part-time license and certificate programs, as well as full-time programs in a few popular fields, such as:

* Appearance Enhancement (Cosmetology)
* Automotive Technician Training
* Aircraft Technology
* Health Care

These programs are designed to prepare you for the New York State licensing exam for the career of your choice. Classes take place in mornings and evenings to accommodate a variety of schedules.

Online learning is also available at Wilson Technological Center, through a partnership with CareerLearn.org. Both instructor-led and self-paced courses are available, so you can choose how you want to learn based on your schedule and preferences.
