SBTS Description

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has been educating, training, and preparing students for faithful service and inspiring them to further the gospel for 150 years. The seminary is committed to offering a high quality, Christ-centered education focused on understanding the biblical truth, while respecting your family, personal, and professional commitments. The seminary offers traditional on-campus courses as well as online courses.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary offers various housing options to students, including residence halls, apartments, and commuter housing. Dedicated housing is available to married students with and without children.

The school’s Center for Student Success is a great resource for students to receive academic advising, writing assistance through the writing center, and other services.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary offers a discount on tuition to members of a Southern Baptist Church. Students coming from a different denominational background may receive the member discount if they meet certain criteria. An admissions representative will help determine if you’re eligible.

The school wants every student interested in ministry training to have the opportunity to attend school, regardless of their income and financial means. Therefore, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary offers scholarships to eligible students, and will also assist students in finding outside sources of financial aid.
