Detailed Ratings

I am at my third semester at Hawkeye Community College. I am 37 years old male and a non-traditional student. When I was first accepted at Hawkeye I was very nervous being the fact I haven't been in school for over 20 years, despite that fact Hawkeye accepted me into their pre-program curriculum in which I was most honored. All of the class instructors I have had were and are great teachers. When of my favorites places at Hawkeye is the Library, it is a great resource for any and all students who are striving to reach their educational goals. I would like to say that the staff that work in the library are great people. They are great at assisting a person on finding material or using the computers there. I would also say the staff there are very special because really get to know the students and very encouraging as well as supporting. I know that Hawkeye Community College is a great Community College for any all who desire to further education and there is much support from the programs and staff.

Overall the school is great; its a smaller campus so you don't feel overwhelmed my the size but on the other hand it could be bigger because it does have a little bit of a high school feel to it sometimes. The classrooms are nice, bright, and comfortable. The campus is a tech campus so they have computers and internet readily available to any of the students who need it. There's a rec center that the students are allowed to use that is really nice and well maintained. The library has very good resources and the librarians are very knowledgeable. All in all Hawkeye is a great school, it has a small campus feel so you wont get overwhelmed, however once you've been there for a year you kinda wish it was bigger, the campus has everything you would need to make college a pleasant experience.
