Founded in 1966, the college enrolls more than 7,500 students in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degree programs, and certificate programs. Logo

BCC's logo was originally a shield, surrounded by pine branches, in front of an anchor, surmounted by a burning lamp, triagonalized, containing crossed sheaves of wheat, a plow, and something else. This was replaced at some time by a shield containing BCC's trademark trefoil-hexagon, surrounded with lines extending the pattern. A copy is on display in the Parker Center on the building's information / dedication plaque.

Pemberton Campus

The Lewis M. Parker Center

The Parker Center is BCC's original classroom and lab building. This facility contains classrooms, two lecture halls, the campus theatre, student lounge, television and radio studios, the college's radio station WBZC, bookstore, cafeteria, test center, and laboratories. It is built around the theme of hexagonal angles and appears as a key from the air.

The Academic Building

The Academic Center opened for classes in February 1994. This building contains multi-purpose computer labs, multimedia classrooms, a child care center and College administrative offices.

The Integrated Learning Resource Center/Library (ILRC)

The Integrated Learning Resource Center/Library houses an online catalog, a law collection, children's reading area, Pinelands Room, Career Adaptive Learning Literacy lab with computers and assistive devices for students with special needs, periodicals and non-print media, a collection of classic films, reference works, leisure reading materials, study rooms and meeting facilities with videoconferencing capabilities.

The Physical Education Center

The Physical Education Center houses the College's indoor pool, 1500-seat gymnasium, the BCC Fitness Center with exercise and weight training facilities and spas, two classrooms, and locker rooms. Nearby are the campus tennis courts, baseball, softball and soccer fields, beach volleyball courts and bocce ball court.

Question: Is there a minimum amount of credits needed to transfer from a community college to an university?

Is there a minimum amount of credits needed to transfer from a community college to an university? I am looking to transfer from Burlington County College, to say Monmouth University, Rutgers Camden, or Drexel. I've used the njtransfer.org and all of my credits transfer to each institution. I'll be (hopefully) transferring out with about 43- credits ( maybe 6-18 more if i decide to take summer classes )

it would be easier if you completed your 2 year degree, but take required classes now toward your major.it is much cheaper, and less confusing. and if anything happens(especially if financing is limited)that 2 year degree is yours and no one can take it away.if going to university you have a long way to go to get a degree.

Question: Does anyone know where to sell college textbooks?

I tried selling my textbooks back to Burlington County College, but because they switched editions, they would not accept my textbooks back. I have no more use for these books. Instead of just throwing them away, I want to know where I can go to sell my books. I was told some colleges are still using these particular textbooks. Aside from Amazon.com, is there a website I can sell my books on that won't rip me off? Perhaps something where I could get paid immediately? Would Borders or Barnes and Nobles accept college textbooks? I appreciate if anyone can help greatly.

Borders doesn't buy textbooks and B & N will rip you off. Your best bet is either amazon.com or half.com You can also try listing the books on facebook, myspace, or around campus. If the books are indeed old editions, you may have a tough time selling them. good luck!
