Description
The Mission of International Baptist College, as an integral ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church, is to develop graduates and Christian leaders who glorify God and demonstrate their love for God and others by living a Biblical life-style, by obedience to the Great Commission, and by championing the fundamentals of the historic Christian faith, as they serve God in their family, the local church, the West, and the world.International Baptist College, an independent fundamental Baptist Bible college in Tempe, Arizona, is an integral ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church. Founded 25 years ago by Dr. James Singleton, IBC's motto is "Mentoring into Ministry".
International Baptist College offers a high quality, accredited education that is a mix of foundational theology and practical ministry know-how. Students receive one-on-one attention from a diverse faculty that are graduates of different schools within Fundamentalism. Every full-time instructor has one or more graduate degrees in the field being taught. In addition, many local pastors teach a class or two, giving students the unique perspective of a full-time pastor.
IBC's smaller size gives it a "home away from home" atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone, and students are able to develop lasting friendships with their classmates. Students also have many opportunities to get involved in various activities to keep themselves busy. Life for most students consists of school, work, and ministry with great opportunities to relax and have some fun.
Located in the Phoenix metropolitan area, IBC enjoys a beautiful climate with the average yearly temperature in the 80s. Easily accessible from all parts of the western United States, IBC is strategically located to help build the infrastructure of Fundamentalism in the West. The population of the West is growing at a significant rate, yet the planting and growing of Fundamental churches has not kept pace. Many students leave the West to attend schools in the East and never return, leaving our Fundamental churches struggling to grow without trained young men and women to staff them. Since 80% of graduates minister within 500 miles of the last school they attended, IBC provides a place to train and send out workers into this ever-growing harvest.
