Tempe Colleges

Tempe, named after The Vale of Tempe in Greece, has a population of about 169,000. Tempe is home to numerous universities, colleges, both public and private, as well as institutes of technology, aesthetics and healing arts. Notable institutes include Arizona State University, as well as the Maricopa County Community College, Lamson College, Conservatory if Recording Arts and Sciences, and Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.
