Greater Los Angeles Area Colleges

The Los Angeles area is filled with a variety of schools with a range of disciplines. The city itself has three public universities: California State University Los Angeles, California State Northridge and University of California Los Angeles. Creative types can study at the American Film Institute Conservatory, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Los Angeles Film School, New York Film Academy, Art Center College of Design, Southern California Institute of Architecture and Otis College of Art and Design. Other notable private schools include Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Loyola Marymount University and Loyola Law School, Southwestern Law School, American Jewish University and University of Southern California. The Los Angeles area has nine community college campuses including Los Angeles Southwest College, Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles Trade-Technical College.
