Boston Area Colleges

In the Boston area you’ll find a collegiate scene of more than 100 colleges and universities. Harvard University, the country’s oldest institution of higher learning, is located in the Boston area along with other reputable schools such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Northeastern University, Boston University and the liberal-arts oriented Emerson College. There are also numerous conservatories and art schools including the New England Conservatory of Music, Berkley College of Music, Massachusetts College of Art and the Boston Conservatory. Also notable are the major public university, University of Massachusetts, Bunker Hill Community College and Roxbury Community College.
