Jim Andelman
Jim Andelman is a Co-founder and General Partner of Santa Barbara-based Rincon Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm. Jim has more than fifteen years of experience in venture capital investing, technology investment banking and advisory services and strategic business consulting. Before founding Rincon, he served as a Principal at Broadview Capital Partners, a $250 million expansion-stage venture capital firm and also was a member of the Technology Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown. There, he worked on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and equity private placements.
Brian Barnum
Brian Barnum recently served as President of RH Donnelley Interactive (RHDi), the online division of leading Local Search / Yellow Pages publisher RH Donnelley after RHDi acquired Business.com, where Brian was COO/CFO, in 2007. Mr. Barnum has more than 15 years of financial and operations management experience including CFO positions with high-growth, venture capital backed technology companies. Prior to his tenure at RHD Interactive, Brian was CFO of Rent.com, where he prepared the Company for an IPO while managing a mergers and acquisitions process that culminated in an acquisition by eBay valued at $433 million. He's currently an Executive in Residence for the Mayfield Fund.
Jim Dugan
Jim Dugan is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of OCA Ventures. Prior to OCA, Jim oversaw the OCA Ventures Pledge Fund which made direct venture capital investments for the O'Connor Partners Investment Office. Jim has board responsibilities for EdMap, Midi, TDJM, Brickfish, Base 2 Capital, Techskills, Cleversafe and SumRidge. Jim has 20 years of corporate finance, capital markets, and venture capital investment experience. Jim traded derivatives at the Chicago Board of Trade and worked in corporate finance with Continental Bank. While at Continental, Jim participated in the structured financing of companies ranging in capital size from $10 million to several billion dollars. Jim regularly speaks at Kellogg School of Management as well as the University of Chicago and is involved in various non-profit organizations including IVCA, SmartBet Charities and Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center, among others.
Klaus Koch
Klaus Koch is a Managing Partner of Vicente Capital Partners. Klaus began his career with the LEK Partnership where he focused on strategic M&A projects and privatization support for the German government. Klaus later went on to work with Goldman Sachs in Mergers and Acquisitions. In 1996, Klaus joined Bain & Co. in their LBO, Technology and Healthcare practices. During this time, Klaus advised such firms as Apollo Advisors, McCown De Leeuw, TRW and SGI. Klaus has led several successful investments to exit including Rent.com (acquired by eBay), O2 Science (acquired by Pacific Pulmonary Services), Sensor Systems, Alta Healthcare System, Newbridge College, LivHOME and Transoft Networks (acquired by Hewlett-Packard). Currently, Klaus is Chairman of the Board of Sendio and MedBridge Healthcare.
