While many colleges base their scholarships and grants around financial need, Cochise College focuses less on family income, and more on academic potential. Therefore, if you stop attending classes or drop out, you may be required to repay the scholarship or grant that you received. Cochise College offers federal and state grants, along with academic and departmental scholarships.

By far, one of the most impressive private awards is the Scholars-in-Residence Program. Fellowships frequently focus on achievement and GPA, and may require some sort of work in exchange for the award. The Scholars-in-Residence Program bases its choice of recipient on their project description, curriculum vitae, a sample of their work, and three letters of recommendation. While this sounds like a lot of work for one fellowship, it should be noted that the monetary award for this fellowship is $50,000.

Smaller awards include the J. Douglas and Lille S. Wright Scholarship, which awards only $600 but does hand out an average of 10 awards annually.

Applying for Cochise College Scholarships

Cochise College requires that student file their FAFSA when applying to their college. Students will automatically be considered for any federal or state grants for which they qualify.
