Fast Food Scholarships
- McDonalds Scholarship: Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarships
Overview: McDonalds scholarships come in the form of four unique programs. Any student can apply to RMHC/Scholars scholarship. Students who have at least one parent of Asian-Pacific descent can apply to RMHC/Asia. Students with a parent of African-American or Black Caribbean heritage can apply to RMHC/African-American Future Achievers. Students with a parent of Hispanic or Latino heritage can apply to RMHC/HACER.
Requirements/Eligibility: Eligible applicants are US residents who are high school seniors under 21 years old. Applicants must fulfill all requirements that are listed with their local Ronald McDonald House chapter.
- Burger King Scholarship: Burger King Scholars Program
Award: $1,000 to $25,000
Overview: The Burger King Scholars Program awards scholarships to hundreds of students per year, including scholarships specifically for employees and children of employees.
Requirements/Eligibility: Eligible applicants are US citizens and graduating high school or home schooled seniors with a 2.5 GPA and plans to enroll at an accredited higher learning institution. Similar requirements are also given for employee-based scholarships.
- Burger King Scholarship: James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship
Overview: The Burger King Scholars Program also awards three $50,000 memorial scholarships.
Requirements/Eligibility: Eligible applicants are US and Canadian citizens who have graduated high school within three years and are enrolling as a full-time freshman at an accredited four-year college or university. They must have a 3.3 GPA, a composite ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1700 and demonstrate substantial work experience and leadership in community and extra-curricular activities.
- KFC Scholarship: KFC Colonel’s Scholars
Award: Up to $5,000 per year
Overview: The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program provides funding for students going to college. Students go through multiple rounds of the selection process, and the rewards are renewable throughout four years of education. Scholars are matched with a volunteer mentor who can be a KFC employee or franchisee and provide support for the program.
Requirements/Eligibility: Eligible applicants are US Citizens or Permanent Residents graduating high school with at least a 2.75 GPA, plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution and demonstrate financial need.
