Overall

I had a truly amazing experience here. The aerospace engineering program is well-structured and rigorous, and the faculty are great for the most part. The campus atmosphere just can't be beat in my opinion - small student population, friendly people, clean and well-maintained. I enjoyed the rural setting, unobstructed views of the local area (including the mountains nearby), excellent weather, the nearby hiking/biking trails and lakes. I could go on and on... so many great memories here!

Academics

I had visited Purdue, UCSD, and University of Arizona before finally selecting ER-Prescott. I was really impressed with the facilities on campus, especially given the small size of the school (~1700 students). Plenty of computer labs on campus, engineering design and fabrication building, CFD/Thermal lab, structures lab, propulsion lab, and an awesome library (even though I graduated before Hazy was built). Engineering classes were well sized - usually less than 20 people. Homework load varies depending on the class, but on average, expect anywhere from 2-6 hours per night.... with more during finals or project deadlines. Rigor is about what I expected - decent. Professors are, for the most part, fantastic. Very approachable with open office hours - this is one the great perks of going to a small school, such as Riddle.

College Life

Plenty of things to do on and off campus. However, if you're really in to the nightlife, clubs, etc scene... you may want to find another school as I don't think you will be happy in Prescott. Downtown Prescott is great though... very quaint, with lots of local history and great artsy shops and restaurants. You really don't appreciate all of it though until after you move away unfortunately! Aesthetically, I find the ER-Prescott campus very pleasing. I like the somewhat hilly terrain, with almost every building built at a different elevation. The building architecture is very low-key and unlike many of the larger college campuses. It's just a very peaceful campus setting overall. Safety is a total non-issue. Social atmosphere is very good due to the small campus population. The ER community is very tight-knit... in fact I moved back on campus my senior year because I enjoyed the social community in the dorms. Lots of fun.

Overall

Embry-Riddle is a great school for aviation, just Make Sure that aviation is what you want to do for the rest of your life. I was interested in a lot of other things and going to ERAU my choices for other studies were obviously limited. The flying in Northern AZ is incredible, I really liked flying to Sedona airport and practicing landings , the airport is perched up on a mesa!

Academics

I graduated in 1992 , I know things have changed a lot since then. I was a aeronautical science major. The flying was awesome and the training top-notch. XC flights were really fun going to Lake Powell and Southern Ca. Classes were good but the electives were very limiting.

College Life

The outdoor activities in Prescott are epic and in No. AZ are endless- world class rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, backpacking etc... I was not involved in the school atmosphere, I spent my free time enjoying the outdoors!! Many trips into the grand Canyon, and my favorite was rock climbing in the local Prescott area.

Overall

So far, I have visited this school once. A student at the school gave me and my family a tour of the campus. I really like what programs Embry Riddle has to offer along with the great facilities that the school has available to their students. I am also a swimmer in high school and I really like how Embry Riddle has a lake next to it for me to play water sports.

Academics

I am currently in IB classes at Millennium high school. these classes are hard with an extensive work load but the teachers are very good. The IB classes are very hard but they are rewarding and I think I am already seeing some of the benefits now. I would recommend these classes to anyone that wants to have a successful future.

College Life

Like I said before, I don't go to this school yet but I have met some of the students when I was visiting. As far as I could tell, they seemed very nice and I can't wait to go to school with those types of people. As far as athletics are concerned, I think it would be cool if this school had a swim team and a basketball team. other than that, I think that this school is amazing.

Overall

I think the school is a wonderful place to study engineering and although I haven't gone yet, I think the campus is beautiful and the people are nice.

Academics

Class sizes are small and there are plenty or opportunities for tutoring, which is very helpful.

College Life

The school has a very relaxed atmosphere and I imagine the campus life is pretty tame compared to other schools.
