Overall

It is a great school especially in the field of Business and Management. It is not easy to get into this school unless you meet the required GPA. I believe that the school should continue to do well and promote in area that need changes with upcoming technology. Overall it is a good school and its location is great. It is very close to everything.

Academics

The SOM 301 which is Business writing is very hard and difficult to pass especially for international students. It is important to pass this class to be in the school of management at George Mason. With that said, it means that George Mason prepares students to be professional and be able to adapt themselves in a workplace environment. This school has great professors and programs. Also if someone has problem with english , they can improve their english writing by using the Learning resources available on campus or attending workshop. This is my second year in the school and so far I had good professors like Professor Constant Cheng for Marketing class(MKTG 301) and Patrick Walsh (ACCT 301) for Accounting class. Class size is quite big and very convenient for students to listen to their lecture. They do have high technology equipment used to facilitate professor to give their lecture and show videos or other programs.

College Life

The social atmosphere is great and the clubs are very interesting to join. You get the opportunity to learn new things and meet new people. You get more involved and be in a diversity group. I get a chance to learn different culture. The campus is very safe at night classes but the only thing need to improve is to put more lights in some parking areas. Athletics activities are excellent and a lot to choose from. I must say that the campus is clean and safe for every student.

Overall

Everyone at the school is very supportive and helpful from the professors to students. All students from freshman to seniors are treated equal, make things very easy to transition as a freshman. there were alot of activities the first month of school to make student comfortable with the area, with the facilities and being away from home.

Academics

Depending on the class size can go from 50 to 300. The professors are great and always available to assist and offer office hours. There are tutoring centers for most classes which are free and a writing center. If you search out what you are looking for you will find it at George Mason. There are many resources available to students and they are useful and helpful and free of charge.

College Life

There are club sports teams you can sign up for and play at your leisure depemding on your coursework. Its your choice how involved you want to be. There is always something going on on campus and trips off campus that include transportation if you are intersted. Your dorm also has 1 time per week eating together so you get an opportunity to meet others in your dorm, the RA organizes activities.

Overall

Mason has a beautiful and well-designed campus. The buildings and classrooms are centralized with parking all around. So once you're in the center, you can get just about anywhere in five minutes or less. My favorite spot was the Johnson Center Library, where you lose yourself in the stacks of books and find a quiet corner to study (or sleep : )

Academics

George Mason has some of the finest economics professors in the country. It wasn't my major, but I took every econ I class I could. My first few were night classes with an adjunct professor who was working full-time as an advisor to the court system in anti-trust cases. He was brilliant and had the whole room laughing for two hours as he commented jovially on national news and politics. I took my last course with Walter Williams, the chair of the department, and renowned columnist and speaker. He is just as much fun in person as he is on the radio!

College Life

Mason has a thriving swing dancing community. A few nights a week you can walk past the lower floor of the Johnson Center and see a room full of students enjoying a casual practice session. The formal events were really fun to attend too. Everyone dressed up in fairly authentic 1950's style and the experienced dancers were amazing to watch.
