About HCCC

The Hudson County Community College’s North Hudson campus in Union City, New Jersey, reflects the college’s commitment to high-quality, student-centered educational programs to prepare graduates for a lifetime of success.

The college strongly encourages students to receive an education outside of the classroom through its many community service initiatives, internships and volunteer projects. You can also join one of the student groups and organizations, which are based on recreational interests or academic fields like the Nursing or Culinary Arts clubs.

Students may gain professional experience by helping with the school’s publications, including the student handbook, literary magazine, yearbook and monthly student letters.

Academics offered at the school include transfer degrees and certificate programs in a wide variety of fields, including:

  • Accounting
  • Computer Technology
  • Culinary Arts
  • Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Legal Assisting

Students who earn an associate’s degree are guaranteed full-junior status upon acceptance to any New Jersey state college or university.

Admissions require applicants to submit an official high school transcript, proof of residency and proof of immunizations for measles, rubella, mumps and Hepatitis C.

New Jersey residents receive discounted tuition.

Students who have graduated within the top 15% of their high school class and have completed rigorous coursework may be eligible for the NJ Stars program, a scholarships program for New Jersey residents that covers tuition for up to five semesters.

Students who file a FAFSA will be considered to receive other forms of financial aid, including Pell grants, Stafford loans, work study programs and other scholarships.
