DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT TO GRADUATE ANYTIME SOON. There are other school were you can get more for your money and not have to keep retaking a class because the school wants more money. Some of their classes are set up so that students will have to keep retaking the class over and over. The Dean and the Vice President do not do anything to help even though students have complained to them some how they end up loosing the other complaints and if/when you do complain they say "well this is the first time us hearing about this, we have never had this issue before." But the funny thing is you can just ask any student in the common area and you will find at least 5 that have the issue of having to retake their classes over and over again but once you transfer you pass your classes fine. Oh or my favorite when I spoke to the Dean before she even knew who I was and never asked who I was she insulted me and said "maybe you just have a learning disability" didn't even bother to investigate the class/ teacher just insulted me instead. I have been to other schools and transferred to this school because I had moved and have never had soooooooooooooooooooo many issues then I do with this school. It is more of a head ache attending here then it is worth.

Academics

The teachers give you little information and make the exams totally different then the finals so that you so fail and even if have a 4.0 all quarter if you fail final you fail class. The load you up on a bunch of mind numbing work and give little help and tell you to got to their tutoring center if need help.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The Dean is insulting, rude, and does not do her job The Vice president is just as bad and wont deal with any of the issues brought to her.

Renton Technical College is a excellent opportunity to learn, get experiences from other people, and be successful in our lives.I really like to know people from others countries because each of them has something interesting to share. My experience has shown that when we want to get something, we have to work hard no matter what to reach our goals.Walking down the carpet at the college graduation to receive formal recognition for my GED was a memorable event The college had us walk along with all the other program graduates.I am inspired to continue my learning.

Academics

I studied Adult Basic Education to get my GED, and the professors were well prepared to explain the program to us.Class sizes vary depending on the course there may be 10 to 30 students per classroom instructor. We have homework to prepare and daily classwork. The faculty explain the content test requirements, and skills needed for success.I study 3 hours in class each day.

I think Renton Tech was a good school overall. They were a good alternative to attending a University, for those that either don't have the time or money to go for 4 years. I attended the PC support and networking school, my degree is an AA in Electronic technology.

Academics

The professors were for the most part very good and helpful, a few seemed burnt out but most would help you outside of class if you showed interest. The classes once you get into your degree are smaller and more personal.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is conveniently located, easy access from 405. All the classes are easy to get to. The campus is small and well lit, seems safe. There is security at all times. Lots of parking available. Everyone there seems glad to be there!

Overall

The school has a comfortable atmosphere. It's an easily accessible campus; not to large, not too small. The bakery is everyone's favorite place to be! It's a quiet, nice place to interact and get to know your peers and teachers.

Academics

Our program was very helpful in the means of office related work. I wish that there would have been more in depth on-the-job training as far as legal document preparation, letter writing format, etc.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The computer labs are usually full, but there are a lot of them, they are just popular! Parking is ok, unless you get there late and have to park all the way on the other side of the campus. But it's only about a 5-7 minute walk. There is plenty of campus security, and they drive around every area to make sure there isn't any criminal activity.
