Southwest University of Visual Arts in Tucson, Arizona offers a visually inspiring environment in which to pursue various Fine Art degrees.
Both MFA and bachelor’s programs are available at Southwest and encompass such professional fields as Advertising and Marketing, Animation, Graphic Design and Landscape Architecture as well as studio programs in Photography, Painting and Drawing.
Located near stunning mountains and in close proximity to the alpine country and several lakes, Tucson offers beautiful scenery ideal for artists. This setting also provides great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, water sports and other outdoor activities.
Arizona’s museums are another highly attractive feature for art students.
A quaint but lively city, Tucson also has much in the way of shopping, restaurants and musical entertainment.
On campus, students may participate in clubs and associations related to their major, including an animation club, an interior design club and the school’s Institute for Graphic Design.
Those seeking admission will need to submit personal essays, transcripts, recommendation letters and a portfolio of relevant work.
