Overall

I like the overall environment at the school. Everybody is really caring and helpful and I feel like they really want to see you succeed in life. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here. It is also nice to be at a school where everybody has the same morals and standards. It really makes it easy to connect with people and make life long friendships.

Academics

The programs here are really competitive so a high gpa is a MUST. As for sports, there aren't any competitive teams but there are intramural sports that are really fun and friendly. For the most part I've had good professors. They really take the time to make sure you succeed.

College Life

There aren't really and clubs but there are organizations you can join to get involved in the school community. I like them because it helps you meet new people an make new friends. In fact, my roommate is student body president and just having her around alone keeps our apartment full of new people to meet everyday

Overall

I really like how the teachers work with the students- they all really seem to care about each student as a person, and are very helpful. It's great, it really is. The area is really nice, the campus is beautiful, and there are a lot of great classes- really it's just a great school.

Academics

Classes are pretty small, 25-85, usually around 30-40 students, which is great. YTu really get to know your Professors and they get to know you, which is wonderful because they are helpful and usually willing to work with you. the workload varies based on what classes you take, but it's been good for me- it's possible to get friday free of classes, and theres forum time on thursday which is perfect for a quick nap. The classes are wonderful. I'm an English major, so most of what I know is in that department, but there is a huge variety- I look a class on Irish mythology, another on Christianity in poetry, another on the Heroic journey. This semester I'm taking writing picture books. There are loads of classes, and it's easy to find something you want to learn about.

College Life

I love the friendliness of campus. Everyone is kind to each other- saying hi, asking how you are, to total strangers. It's a beautiful thing, and you come away with some great friendships with random people in line for books, or behind the counters in the Crossroads( cafeteria). It's a really safe area, too, which is new for me, since I live in a big city. You can leave your bag on the table to go get a fork, and all your stuff's still there when you get back. You can leave your door unlocked. There are occasional crimes, but it's pretty darn safe. I love it. There are a lot of activities, most free or very low cost, like I-night at the start of each semester that offers a dance, laser tag, speed dating, a mechanical bull, rock climbing, padded fencing... There are things like plays, concerts, Last Poet Standing, Foreign Films, and tons of clubs ranging from fencing to animation. There isn't a whole lot to do in town- a cheap theater, a regular theater, bowling, laser tag, and that's about it- but it's really easy to make friends, that make life fun no matter what you do.

Overall

I absolutely love this university. The general spirit about this campus is one that is envied in campuses around the world. The rules and regulations that are pursued and kept allow the students here to be successful in their school studies and their activities outside campus. I wouldn't ever trade my schooling experience for any other campus. I love it here at BYU-Idaho!

Academics

There are a wide variety of classes offered on this campus, I learn about new and exciting classes every day. The professors here are very qualified and interested in the subjects they teach. The workload in this school can get a bit overwhelming because of the high standard our president has set for us. We follow a learning model at this school that requires us to prepare, learn and teach in every class we are attending; allowing us to apply our studies even deeper than most universities.

College Life

There are so many was to get involved on this campus. But there is a lack of athletics at this school. We have clubs and different teams you can join, and we have a very nice open gym that was added just under a year ago where one can practice their athletic skills. Rexburg, Idaho is a little on the quieter side of weekend activities, but it is perfect for the students attending this university.
