Reviews for Winston-Salem State University
So far I have had some bad experiences with not being able to get on my e-mail; I have had to contact the school to get into my e-mail twice. I had to go to mandatory orientation on a Saturday from 7am-5pm and was told that they did not have my transcripts; which they actually DID have them but was then told that they were just not evaluated yet and no more evaluations were going to be done that day. It was a disaster; I was sent all over campus; I had no idea where to go, and no one showed me, needless to say I missed out on the entire orientation trying to get the whole mess figured out.
The classes and programs are up to par. The professors so far seem knowledgeable. I enjoy my instructors and professors, as they are intelligent and pay attention to detail. The instructors take the time to listen if someone has a question or needs help with something. The class size is about like any other class that I have attended at the community colleges in the past, the work load is doable, yet challenging.
I don't attend the weekend activities. There are quite a few activities for Homosexual African American Males.Winston Salem State University has a lot of activities that are geared toward African Americans, I think that is because Winston Salem State University is mostly an African American dominant school. Winston Salem State University is very proud of their "Rams". The "Rams" are the schools logo and you can definitely tell that they are proud and they show their school pride in athletics!
