About Worcester State College

Worchester State University in Massachusetts was designated a 2007 “America’s Best Value College” and a “Best Northeastern College” from 2005-2012 by The Princeton Review.

Worchester State University understands that the key to an enjoyable and successful education is a balanced mix of learning and student life activities. There are dozens of clubs and several intercollegiate sports programs to choose from, in addition to theater and musical opportunities. There are three residential facilities on campus for students who would like to fully immerse themselves in the university atmosphere.

The school offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the traditional sciences and arts, health, business, teacher education, and biomedical sciences. A low student to teacher ratio and off-campus learning opportunities are just two of the ways that the Worchester State University enriches students’ learning experience. The school also offers continuing education, international, and honors programs.

Worchester State University offers a significant discount on tuition for in-state residents and encourages students to apply for the FAFSA to help with the cost of their education. In addition, the school offers over 100 academic scholarships.

Conveniently located in New England, it only takes a short drive to enjoy places such as Boston, Cape Cod, Hartford, Providence, and much more.

Overall Rating

The professors that work in the Psychology department are just great. A few of the buildings on campus could use a little remodeling, in particular the student center. The only issue I have with the campus is the parking. It is a big problem on campus. It can take quite a bit of time to find a place to park in mornings. However, they do offer a shuttle daily in which you can leave your car at the Worcester Airport and take the bus to and from campus. This again, can be time consuming so you need to make sure you leave early enough for classes.
