Reviews for Worcester State College
The professors that work in the Psychology department are just great. A few of the buildings on campus could use a little remodeling, in particular the student center. The only issue I have with the campus is the parking. It is a big problem on campus. It can take quite a bit of time to find a place to park in mornings. However, they do offer a shuttle daily in which you can leave your car at the Worcester Airport and take the bus to and from campus. This again, can be time consuming so you need to make sure you leave early enough for classes.
At times the course work can be challenging, but everyone is willing to help. In addition they have many helpful services on campus, for example the writing center. The work load can really vary from professor to professor. But, again, all of the professors are extremely willing to help you succeed if you put in the effort. The class sizes are usually relatively small, they range between twenty to thirty five students per class. This makes it easier to connect with the professor and ask questions through out the class. Participation is strongly encouraged in most classes.
There is not much going on on weekends. The student center is usually pretty busy. Inside they have plenty of dinning services and a room that has a pool table and a few other games. There are plenty of things to get involved with if you pay attention. They send out emails a few times a week with listings of activities that are taking place. Examples include movie showings, craft making, guest lectures or conferences and plays put on by the college. The foot ball games seem to be pretty popular in the fall.
