About BMCC

Are you looking for a higher education opportunity that will also help you explore your Native American heritage? Bay Mills Community College, located on the shore of beautiful Lake Superior, is Michigan’s first fully accredited, tribally controlled college. In addition to being fully accredited, BMCC is also a proud member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC).

Students at BMCC can earn an associate’s degree by attending classes either on campus or online. Some of the programs available include Education (Early Childhood and General), Communication Arts, Health and Fitness, and Social Sciences.

In addition to courses, some of the opportunities available to Bay Mills Community College students on campus include talking circles, utilization of Native American spiritual advisors, native workshops and gatherings, student leadership development, traditional guidance and teachings, and more.

Each student at Bay Mills Community College will be assigned an academic advisor who will approve course registration and changes and assist with any academic issues.

All BMCC students pay the same tuition, which is much lower than most four-year state universities. Financial aid may be available to eligible students in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and work-study programs.
