I am an adult in need of retraining. I work part-time at a grocery store in the bakery. I have always wanted to return to school since graduating from high school in 1974. Growing up in a poor farm family with ten children, I always knew there would be no money for college. At that time very few scholarships were offered and pell grants were not available, that I know of. After years of working at dead end jobs and raising a family I have returned to my education. All of my instructors and tutors have been wonderful. I would have to say the same for the staff. The facilities at Mid-South are wonderful. If I were to name a favorite instructor, which is really hard to do, I would have to give credit to all of my developemnental math teachers and my present college algebra teacher. I have more dificulties in this area than any other and my tutor, for each class, has been my savior. I have had grades of B in dev math and I really stress over the college algebra. I would recommend this school, and I have, to anyone seeking higher education.
