Overall

This has only been first semester at Bama, but it has been an amazing experience so far. I am from out of state and everyone has been so supportive and friendly. The teachers are great. The campus is beautiful. I can't say enough wonderful things about this university. Roll Tide!

Academics

The professors are always willing to help you after hours if there's something you're not understanding. With my current schedule, I have plenty of time to study and get my assignments finished. The classes aren't too big nor too small. The resources are endless when it comes to help outside of the classroom. The library is huge and there's a place where I can have someone check my assignments. There's even a recording studio on campus!

College Life

I feel safe walking around since we have our own police force and safety boxes all over campus. I haven't joined any clubs or organizations, so I can't say much on that topic. The social atmosphere is great, though. As I said previously, everyone is really nice so it's an easy-going environment.

I really love it here. The campus is wonderful and all of the people are so nice. There are so many things to do all the time! The dorms are FANTASTIC and so convenient. I love all of my teachers. I wish the rec center was closer to campus but that's a small thing. Also, Greek life is a little bit overwhelming, but there are plenty of non Greeks around.

Academics

All of my classes have been excellent so far. My professors all have time to meet outside of class if we need help. The workload has been pretty standard and manageable. None of my classes have been overly gigantic either, so that is nice! The professors all seem to genuinely want us to do well and I really appreciate that.

College Life

During football season especially, there is SO much to do! I have found so many clubs that I can't even join them all so there is no shortage there. The only complaint about social atmosphere is how Greek centered it is, however, there are plenty of non Greek things to attend, you just have to look harder.

The school and the atmosphere are amazing! There's no other place I'd rather be, especially during football season. Everything about this school is top notch. Visiting the campus will make you fall in love and never want to leave.

Academics

As a freshman, I had a lot of bigger classes than I expected, but the teachers are still very helpful. Some of the classes can be challenging in comparison to high school, but the more work you put in, the better you will do.

College Life

Obviously, our sports teams at the University of Alabama are outstanding. The campus always has something going on. For weekend fun, the Strip has a lot of entertainment, as well as the fraternity houses.

Overall

I loved the diversity of the school. The many classes and opportunities offered at this school brings together a group of diverse students. I love the Christian aspect of the University of Alabama and I truly loved the campus living.

Academics

The class sizes are huge and I struggled with the Math classes because of it. The workload is fair and the professors for the most part are caring. I didn't like the on-line teaching in Math, but I learned the value of technology through my classes.

College Life

I enjoyed the many opportunities to interact with all kinds of people. I became a member of the Gospel Choir and it enriched my college experience beyond measure. I am also interested in becoming Greek. The football and sport activities on my campus is second to none.

I think one of the best things about the University of Alabama is that even though it is a really large college, you still get to experience an amazing sense of community. With graduates all over the world, you could be any where, shout "Roll Tide", and you'll instantly find fellow students/alumni.

Academics

The lower level courses and many of the classes required for popular majors (i.e. biology) are almost ridiculously large, but with size usually comes an easier workload because no professor wants to grade that many things. However there are still a number of smaller classes you can take with only 15 or so other people, that allow you to really get to know your classmates and professor. These classes unfortunately tend to have a bit more work.

College Life

During the fall, the University of Alabama is all about one thing: football. If it's a home game weekend, you'll see preparation well into the preceding week. Even if you don't like football, the excuse to deck your self out in Alabama gear and scream and cheer with 30,000 of your closest friends is definitely worth it!

Overall

I love the diversity and social aspects of the school. Of course, football weekends during football season are awesome. What drew me to the University of Alabama is their Athletic Training Program. That is what I plan to pursue as my undergraduate degree and Bama has a top notch program that is accredited.

Academics

I was able to shadow a first year athletic training students on my visit/tour. It was an awesome experience. I liked the size of the group (1st year class) and everyone knew each other. The students all spoke highly of the professors in the program. They get lots of exposure to many different sports and athletes while in the program. A top notch program.

College Life

Football weekends are always fun! There is also many events during the week to participate in on campus. I am planning to go through recruitment and be part of the Greek System. I am also planning to get involved with Campus Crusade for Christ.

Overall

The campus is breathtaking no matter what the weather is outside it always looks beautiful. Everyone is polite, southern hospitality is everywhere, everyone is friendly and nice. Rush is really big and starts at the beginning of August. Football season is ridiculous in the best way possible. If you love football, whether you play it or are just a spectator, Alabama is for you.

Academics

Class sizes are large as a freshman and sophomore just because there are a lot of students in your class but once you start to really get into your major the classes get smaller and the same people tend to be together.

College Life

Greek life is big but if it's not your thing there is something for everyone, legit. With 30,000 students there are tons of groups/clubs to get involved with. The strip has everything, and the food is delicious even in the dining halls on campus. Football is big big big and the team is really good which makes football season even crazier.

Overall

I think the University of Alabama is a great school and when I graduate in May 2013, this is the school I plan on attending to further my education. I like the campus, academics and the football team.

Academics

The school's classes are great. They offer wonderful programs and the work is not too much. There are different varieties of classes so if you don't like big classes there are small ones that they offer at this college.

College Life

University of Alabama has many athletic fiels, a huge variety of organizations and clubs, and great campus safety. Their are many activities that you can get involved in around the campus and even outside campus.
