Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) was established in 1966, and has been providing quality academics ever since.
NCC is accredited to offer associate’s degrees in the arts and sciences. The school offers more than 40 career programs as well as college transfer options, allowing students to earn the first two years of their education at NCC prior to transferring to a four-year university to finish earning their bachelor’s degree.
The school offers online courses with all the conveniences and flexibilities that the online environment provides. The school has robust partnerships with many local high schools to offer joint enrollment courses. These allow high school students to take classes that could provide them high school and college credits simultaneously.
In an effort to continually improve the local region’s workforce, the college offers courses for skill upgrades, training programs, leadership training, and more.
A successful education consists of an all-encompassing college life. Academics are the root of success, but in addition students are encouraged to join one of the clubs or organizations or participate in campus activities. Being involved is a great way to grow as a person and develop important communication and leadership skills.
NCC offers a new job training program to Iowa businesses, funded by bonds sold by the colleges. Businesses should contact the school for details.
