Overall

I love sacramento city college. I am a transfer student sac state this fall and am sad to be leaving sac city. Great teachers, especially in the science departments. Overall i would definitely recommend for anyone to go to school here.

Academics

The class sizes are smaller than at a state or university which i like better. The professors help students who ask for it and will offer their personal time to do so. The professors expect a lot out of the students which is great and helps to prepare students who transfer to UCs.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is beautifu! There are so many trees and places to sit outside. There are some disturbing and loud people who congregate in the cafeteria, which is annoying. The cafeteria needs some new food items.

Overall

It may be my first semester here but I already love it. I enjoy my classes and I finally found my interest of study. I made many new friends and everyone is kind and willing to help out. A tip that works for everyone is: don't be afraid to ask questions because the staff and even the students are often very welcoming to new students and they don't mind helping out.

Academics

The professors are friendly and always willing to stay after class to help the students with questions they may have. I love all my professors, especially my sociology professors because I don't feel like I'm talking to a automated message system - they always have advice for me and I really appreciate that. Professors who can help the class relax and respect him/her, is someone admirable and oftentimes students will do better in that environment because they wouldn't have to stress so much. Workload is decent, not too much but not too little either but classes are often full and people may end up without a desk (sitting on the floor or sitting on a chair without a desk).

Campus Facilities & Safety

I really like the campus design. The buildings don't come off as too old or shabby. The atmosphere on campus is calm and peaceful. I haven't heard of many campus incidents/accidents. It's pretty safe. There are many facilities for everything you need and the staff are welcoming and friendly toward inquiries. Just yesterday I was surprised when I was discussing job opportunities with a friend. She told me the school had facilities for that. They have job and internship opportunities for students who are looking for a career or for more experience in their field.

Overall

I am a prospective student. I have friends and family that have/do attend Sacramento City College. I have walked the Freeport Campus, as well as the new West Sacramento Facility. My family members say nothing but GREAT things about Sacramento City College. I hope I am accepted and able to start this fall, 2012.

Academics

I want to get my degree in Nursing. I love kids, and want to work in pediatrics. I want to assist in the delivery of babies, as well as take care of them after delivery, until they are released from hospital to go home with their mother. I have no professsional experience, but have lots of hands on with infants, toddlers & preschool age children. I have several nieces and nephews, that I watch all the time. I watch a 2 yr. old, 3-4 days a week, 9-12 a day.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The new campus in West Sacramento, is beautiful, very spacious, and has good parking & security. Right when you walk thru the door (any door) there is a friendly face to greet you, and ask if you need assistance in finding something.

Overall

The facilities provided are adequate for what a student would need to do, to put it simply. The library seems well-stocked and clean, and the same can be said of the cafeteria. However, being that it is the only major community college in Yolo County (sans a few others), the commute is a hassle.

Academics

The class sizes seem to be at least 40 students per course, and while the professors certainly seem competent based on what I've seen, the class availability is limited to the point of inconvenience. I can't speak to whether or not the classes themselves are of a poor quality, as I am only a prospective student.

Campus Facilities & Safety

As I said in regard to the overall quality of the school, the library and cafeteria are well-equipped for students, and not much bad can be said about it. The computers are by no means too old to use, and the campus itself is easy to navigate.

I really like this school! I enjoy being in California, so going here would be the perfect fit for me. Also, the staff is very respectful and very helpful. When I needed to log in to my account, I called admissions, and they helped me log back in, no questions asked! The school had a beautiful environment and I look forward to being a student!

Academics

I have yet to attend SCC but I look forward to grtting to see how the school is. Due to living in Colorado, I have not been able to pay a visit to this school. As I said before, the staff is very respectful, so I am pretty sure that the same applies to the professors. I look forward to studying with them.

Campus Facilities & Safety

As I said before, I haven't gotten the chance to visit, but looking at the environment online and talking to some staff membes, it seems like a pretty safe environment. The school has a beautiful atmosphere. It seems to be very well taken care of.
