Reviews for Aquinas College
When I was researching colleges I would have liked to know more about how registering for classes worked and how common it was to get both waitlisted for a class, and for classes to canceled. The academics at Aquinas are good, and my favorite professor is probably either Dr. Coogan or Dr. Vundrink. Campus is small and you can get pretty much anywhere around campus in under ten minutes. There are great events on campus happening all of the time, most of which are free. The cafeteria isnt the most wonderful, but the other places to eat on campus are good! Overall Aquinas is a wonderful place, and I would never think of going anywhere else!
The professors are really good and are available to meet often. Depending how many credits you take you can have as much or as little to do as you want. Taking seventeen credits I was busy with class work, but I still had time for a social life. There are regular semester classes as well as quads that only meet for a quarter of the year; beginning and ending at mid semester break. Class sizes are small. Science lectures are usually around forty-five people, but the lecture hall can hold up to about ninty people. My smallest class had ten people in it, but they can get as small as six or less before the class would be canceled.
The residence halls do a lot to support intereaction. The lounges almost always have people hanging out watching movies or playing video games. There are also study lounges and small computer labs in the dorms. There are lots of clubs and organizations for whatever you are interested in. The theater department puts on four or five shows every year. Students are encouraged to go to all of the sporting events! There are also prograns like grocery bingo, comedians, improv shows, dances, and homecoming week events!
