Overall
My overall experience at Palm Beach State College (PBSC) was positive. I was able to further my education whilst still having time for a job or two. I love how eco friendly and culturally aware the school is. One of the most memorable aspects for me is that PBSC helped me discover what career direction I wanted to pursue. When I began attending college I didn't know what major I was going to declare or what I was going to do with my life. PBSC, however, often hold career discussion panels, and also lectures by notable speakers. Thanks to the combination of those two things I learned a lot about myself. I found out what careers I just wasn't cut out for and which ones were a step away from becoming full fledged passions. This in turn, made it easier for me to select classes based on my interests to see if I was truly compatible with those areas of study. On top of that, I utilized the online options available from the campus career center which allowed me to see what career options were available based on those courses and even what universities would further me even more. Palm Beach State College was my springboard from which I discovered endless possibilities. They taught me everything about higher education that my high school didn't inform me of. Essentially, there's a place for everyone. Even if you don't fit the mold.
Academics
The professors at PBSC are fantastic! I haven't had a bad professor since I began attendance here, only varying degrees of good! I have also never had a class taught by a TA. The classes are taught by professors only. They are excellent at keeping in touch with students and make excellent use of the school's website and email system. I found the professors here to be very helpful. They all have posted office hours on their syllabus as well as at their offices, they make time for students and are prepared to answer any questions or concerns you have. If you are not good at talking with teachers face-to-face, many teachers are also available via phone and/or email. I have found the workloads to be very manageable. Even when taking classes full time I was able to maintain a full time job. As long as you stay organized you won't have a problem. Scheduled due dates are often available on a professor's syllabus or online. Class sizes differ based on the type of class. However, I have never felt like I was lost amongst a see of faces. "Hands on" classes, such as art classes, have about 10-15 students, regular classroom classes have about 30 or less, and I have only had one auditorium style class but the number of students could not have been in an excess of 50.
Campus Facilities & Safety
Despite being in the middle of the city/ suburbs, Palm Beach State College is incredibly green. Not only are there plenty of outdoor hangout areas (i.e. - pavilion, benches, medicinal garden, small waterfall, 2 small nature trails) but there is also a plant nursery and a eco friendly building that has timed lighting, solar panels, and wind energy fans. The campus is incredibly clean and constantly being updated. There's an abundance of computers and you can find at least one to use even during the busiest time of the day. The library has an upstairs and downstairs area for computers (Mostly PCs but also a few Macs) as well as separate study rooms. Tablets and laptops can also be "checked out" at the library. In addition to the library, computers are available in the cafe. There is also a student learning center in the BB building on the second floor. The learning center is separated into a math lab and a reading lab. Both sides of the lab have computers available. There is a lot of parking availability on campus. However, one should shows up about 15 to 20 minutes to secure a parking spot as the campus is large and you may end up only finding a parking spot on the opposite side of campus after going in circle for half an hour if you show up at the last minute. The parking lot is well lit and there is always someone in the security office if you have a concern or complaint. If you are afraid to go to your car alone at night you may even be able to get a ride to your car via security personnel. Although it is a state college, PBSC does try very hard to create a pleasant on campus experience that is similar to a university experience in which you can find students always on campus. Many school clubs organizations are available on campus as well as a student lounge. However, because it is a state college and the school recognizes that many students take night classes and/or work as well as attending school, clubs keep in touch with students via internet on facebook and other mediums.

The overall school is good , however, they need better professors to teach variety of courses and they need to have better food. Remember to check out Rate my Professor before selecting the professors

What i really like about my school is that I get to pick my classes online and if i dont understand something there a live person to help. The programs that they offer are really helpful. They help with finacial issues and flexable classes. the professors are great they really are there to teach and help they grab your attention in many capturing ways not just a textbook and do the work yourself.

Overall
Overall I enjoy the environment of the campus. My schedule works for me. the teachers are always their to help whenever i need assistance, and the adviser's are great. i really appreciate them. The welcoming feeling from the teachers made my transition from High school to College easy, and comforting.
Academics
The classes are to my liking; not too intimate, but not too over crowed (fair sized). My classes which are Business Administrative focused are well informing. The teachers are very helpful. They really seem to to make class exciting while teaching us. The workload isn't too hard to manage, and the class sizes are fair.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The atmosphere of the campus at Palm Beach State College is very warm, and friendly. The campus is neat, clean, and well organized. There is always a parking spot available when I'm rushing to class. I feel very safe on our campus because their is security roaming around. All in all, I enjoy the Palm Beach State College campus.

Overall
Going back to school in my thirties was scary and very intimidating for me. I was unsure how my younger peers would accept me! First day I was extremely anxious. what I didn't know came to quite a surprise, not only was their a diversity of all ages, I think everyone was equally nervous and anxious as I was, so I didn't feel so alone. I thoroughly enjoyed my new, and very supportive "friends" I made both in my "in" class classes but also my online classes. Achieving my Associate of Arts degree was a pleasure at Palm Beach Community College and I made some great friends with both my peers and Professors!
Academics
I took both classroom and online courses. I had full support of my classmates, Professors, tutors and staff. The workload kept me busy, but was attainable. I also did'nt feel like "just a numbee" the classes were in a more intimate setting with plenty of one on one help if I needed it!
Campus Facilities & Safety
The atmosphere was open, fun and plenty of outside study areas where you could meet up with your new classmare "friends"! I especially liked hanging outside by the fountain. I always felt safe when I was on campus at night as campus security was always in sight and never had to drive around for 20 minutes looking for parking. The labs were never inconveniently lacking any supplies that were needed.
