West Valley college is a great stepping stone school to transfer from. I liked how almost every course is transferable to all schools and that the campus is beautiful. Also the students at the school are very friendly. But, like many community colleges the counseling department lacks in quality and efficiency. The teaching staff is very friendly and helpful with not only your class, but also with transferring. After meeting a lot of students I have realized that the those who are obtaining an Associates degree receive more assistance from the staff at the school. For any prospective students going to West Valley College I recommend them to join the Honors Program and meet with the Honors counselors which will give you more help than the regular counselors. I also recommend any student to join AGS which is an organization based on community service and the program let's you meet a lot of students and help out with the West Valley community.
Great school where I made life long friends. I played on WVC's soccer team and went on to play with a few girls at a 4 year college. Great teachers, great student life and super flexible for student athletes. Surprisingly enough, the cafeteria was yummy, too!
