Reviews for Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner
I am a former student of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Major. I absolutely loved to story tell and write, so I majored in Television. I was able to gain hands on experience with various assignments in the field as well as projects without the intimidation of huge classrooms and little attention to an over packed university. My professors were so informative and easy to talk to, funny and lively. The experience of MWCC was an empowering and great learning experience that I will use for the rest of my life. I am now in Los Angeles CA pursuing work in the arts and entertainment industry.
I was enrolled in scriptwriting, television, radio and media advertising. The work involved was more hands on, which kept things creative and fun. While others dreaded their boring classes, I looked forward every week to learn something new. The professors gave the students assignments that were time efficient and not overwhelming. The class size were about 20 students, I recall.
Campus Facilities & Safety
Parking was accessible, large parking. Beautiful setting of evergreen trees and sweet, crisp new england air, settled in a woodsy area right off the highway. I was able to workout in between classes and run from one end of the campus to the other. The cafeteria had an open and cozy feel, plenty of seating. The library and computers were always accessible and the staff were very helpful.
