Reviews for Indiana University - Purdue University, Fort Wayne
I think IPFW is a great school overall. We have a great amount of diversity and the overall level of maturity and kindness from the student body makes it a great place to further my education. We have great access to wireless internet throughout the campus, computer labs well placed so there is never one out of range, good food at a great price to help me get through a day of 4-5 classes!
Our engineering program is directly through Purdue and they offer some of the greatest engineering degrees in the country. Some professors I have had more than once, as well as classmates, making it a very comfortable and open environment to learn in.
The social life of IPFW is right up to par as I had expected. Lots of clubs and organizations including Division 1 sports! I have a lot of a pride in my school and feel good saying I am part of IPFW. It is a true blessing to be able to attend such a wonderful school for what I am passionate about.
Overall IPFW is a really good school. It is a community campus. I commute from home. The housing though is really nice. There are three restaurants on campus. I like IPFW because it is close to home and all the professors are friendly. The students that attend are also really friendly. IPFW has a really good staff. They are all extremely helpful in guiding you for your major as well as other advice. IPFW is growing tremendously because of these traits.
IPFW has a wide range of academic programs. They offer music to medical degrees in associates to masters. The academics at IPFW are really great. The classes generally have twenty to thirty students in them. This allows the students to interact with the teacher easier. The professors all give you multiple ways to reach them outside of class if there is anything you don't understand. The workload is a fairly decent and manageable one. IPFW has excellent programs and professors.
Student life on campus is also an attraction to IPFW. There are sports as well as intermurals. They have intermurals from sand volleyball to racquetball. There is also two gyms. These facilities are both very nice. There are clubs and many weekend activities. Coming up there is a campus wide community service day. I am taking part in this. This campus provides many activities and things to do.
I believe that this is a great school especially for people that want to remain in state but get a good education. also, it is helpful because it combines two good universities together in one campus. this helps because you can take classes from both universities.
I think that the programs are good. The only problem is that for most of the programs, you might have to move to the main campus of that university after two or more years. this is annoying but in the end, it is a good college.
Indiana University- Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus has many clubs that appeal to many different people. The campus is very safe and has many athletic teams. The atmosphere at IPFW is very welcoming.
